# Upload cover

> task=upload_cover — restyle a public audio file

Same as [Cover](/api-reference/suno/generateCover), but the source is a public `audio_url`.

`POST /suno/v2/generate` returns `{ "taskId" }`. Poll [Get Task Status](/api-reference/suno/task). Schema: `GET /suno/v2/generate/schema?task=upload_cover`.

## Parameters

| Field | Required | Notes |
| - | - | - |
| `task` | Yes | `"upload_cover"` |
| `model` | Yes | `chirp-v6` recommended |
| `audio_url` | Yes | Public MP3/WAV URL |
| `controls.audio_weight` | No | Original-audio influence, 0–1 |
| `controls.style_weight` | No | Style influence, 0–1 |
