# Mashup

> task=mashup — blend exactly two clips

Blend **exactly two** clips in `mashup_clip_ids`. One clip, or three or more, is rejected. If you omit `gpt_description_prompt`, the server fills `A creative mashup song`.

`POST /suno/v2/generate` returns `{ "taskId" }`. Poll [Get Task Status](/api-reference/suno/task). Schema: `GET /suno/v2/generate/schema?task=mashup`.

## Parameters

| `task` | Yes | `"mashup"` |
| `model` | Yes | `chirp-v6` recommended |
| `mashup_clip_ids` | Yes | Exactly two clip ids |
| `gpt_description_prompt` | No | How the mashup should feel. Omit and the server sends `A creative mashup song` |
| `title` / `tags` | No | Result title and style |
